My Blog Title's Interesting Backstory

I got the idea for my blog name through an experience that happened to me in the KCON of 2013. Wow that sounds so historic *imitates grandpa voice*: and that's what happened in the war of 86...lol. Anyways, it was my first year going to KCON (yeah I'm still kinda a kcon newb) and the experience was indescribable. It was my first kpop concert and loved getting to see everyone for the first time ever and I had so many feels♡ By the end of the night though, I was struck with with what some might call bad luck. When we got to the parking lot to head back home, my car wouldn't start T.T I had the idea of jumpstarting my car, but I didn't have any jumpstart cables with me so I went off car to car in search of the cables. I had walked around for a while and it  started to seem like absolutely no one had the cables, but miraculously I finally found a truck who had them and had allowed me to borrow them. They followed me back to my car to help with the cables. As this was happening the person in the car next to me seemed to sense like I was in trouble so he also got out to help. Together we had tried to start up my car, but this ultimately ended up failing, there was a problem with my starter. The point of the whole story is that even though it ended up being 1am in the morning, hours after the concert, these wonderful strangers had stayed to help me until I was able to call for a tow truck even though they too had a long day and a long drive home. I never really consider this as an unfortunate experience because while my situation was looking bleak and it looked like I might be stuck in the middle of nowhere, I was enlightened by these amazingly considerable kpop fans who didn't want to abandon me alone in the middle of the night in Los Angeles. This random act of kindness had inspired me and made me love kpop even more because it allowed me to see how the KPOP community is made up of some really kind-hearted supporters. So I titled my blog random act of Kpop to show what other amazing things kpop can do for people.

If anyone from that night ever possibly reads this THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR RANDOM ACT OF KPOP. ^_^

Thoughts on SBS Roommate: Spoilers Alert

So Roommate's next episode should be coming out with subs soon and I can't wait for it!!! Who else is watching Roommate??? If you're not I really recommend it. At first, I didn't really know what they could do with a houseful of random celebrities living together, but it's actually super cute and funny so far. Everyone just has such big and diverse personalities, but they complement each other and it works out in the end. If you don't know what I'm talking about SBS has a reality show called Roommate and it's basically about 11 idols, comedians, and other celebrities sharing a house together and interacting with each other. The show features EXO's Chanyeol, 2ne1's Park Bom, After School's Nana, comedian Jo Seho, model Lee Sora, martial artist Song Gayeon, singer Shin Sungwoo, actress Hong Soohyun, and actors Lee Dongwook, Park Minwoo, and Seo Kangjoon.  In the most recent episode, the main thing I wanna know next is why Park Bom is crying T.T The episode started out with Nana and Soohyun failing at cooking and then everyone had decided to act as press for Bommie after she got home. She then proceeded to burst out that she wanted to date Minwoo, but when she was alone she started crying. What's going on here???? My heart goes out to her because she's taking the relationship matter seriously and I would too if I were in her position. She also had a lot going on with all of the negative press that she's been getting.

A Simple Look

Outfit of the day. Not exactly K-fashion it's more like my fashion :) A simple white blouse paired with one of my most favorite pieces of jewelry, a minty flower necklace and some high waisted teal shorts. I have my hair in a ponytail to give it a more professional finishing touch. Hopefully I'll be able to take some better quality pics next time and boy do I look so tired from staying up all night to finish my essay. Hope you guys like it anyway~

KCON 2014 Line-Up Updates

CNBLUE was the most recently announced line-up for the two-night concert event KCON 2014!!! My thoughts: They're not SHINee.... >.< (SHINee's my ultimate bias group btw) but I'm excited nonetheless!!!! I had missed CNBLUE's concert when they came to LA a couple months ago because it was on a weekday and I had class ); But now they're back!!!! Hooray!!!!! Who's excited to see YONGSEO couple??? I definitely still ship them <3 I've watched almost all the WGM seasons and they're still definitely my favorite alongside Khuntoria, even though Khunie is with Fany now. I definitely love Nichkhun and Tiffany as a real couple, but I think his WGM experience with F(x)'s Victoria is a nice memory. Anyway back to KCON, I'm still wishfully hoping that yongseo will perform together. Anyone else think that Yongseo should perform???
As for SNSD, I'm thinking of cosplaying Mr. Mr. one day and I Got A Boy for the next day. Any thoughts?? Is anyone else cosplaying as Mr Mr??? Lemme know how your costuming is going~ I'm still searching for the perfect materials and making sure that it's comfortable enough to walk around in for the whole day. I decided to choose these concepts because I absolutely love the dresses that they wore at the end. It's completely gorgeous!!
Lastly, BTS is also going to be attending KCON! WOW!! I hadn't been pay attention to them really, but somehow after watching music shows and whatnot their songs just creeped into my head o.o It was actually Boy In Luv that drew me in. Every time that I finished watching music shows for other artists I found myself singing Boy In Luv at the end. And everything after that was history lol So, I'm also looking forward to see them on stage. What are everyone else's thoughts for the KCON line-up so far???

Why I'm Starting a Blog

This was at the 12th Korea Times Music Festival. I know I'm sitting really far back, but I'm on a poor college student budget D; and I like going to Kpop concerts just for the experience and this was a super fantastic experience. I loved all of the performers, but B1a4 and Exo-M were definitely the highlight of the night for me. B1a4 ending night with "Baby, Goodnight" was simply perfect. The fireworks were a great bonus and being outdoors is really refreshing for a concert. I'm the type of fangirl who loves to enjoy a concert wholeheartedly so usually I'll be jumping up and down, but that's so hard to do when you're indoors. The shear number of people creates so much extra body heat that even when the night deepens I never end up needing a sweater.

Hooray!! My first blog post!!! I would say "Haii everyone," but my audience currently consists of zero people lol so I'll mostly be referring to my computer screen. I started this blog because I'm facing a block in life. I'm having a mid-life crisis at the age of 19! A college crisis??? A mid-college-life crisis??? I'm writing this blog in hopes that by expressing myself in writing, I'll discover more more about what my interests, passions, and life goals are. Anyways, the rest of that rant is for another time. The second reason I have for creating this blog is stated in the title, Random Acts of Kpop. I'll be writing little tidbits here and there to share my concert experiences and opinions/reviews on K-dramas and the like. All the components of the usual Kpop blog. I really really wanna do some free giveaways in the future just because depending on if this ever gets any views ^-^. Korean pop music and the Hallyu wave have, in a way, jerked me out of my comfort bubble and finally sparked something in my life. I'm still a little unsure about where it'll take me, but I'm hoping to figure that all out soon. As for how I got into kpop, that story will be in the My Life tab~ Thanks for reading~
